The National Accident Helpline legal-services business is up for sale according to reports. Rumours have circulated that LDC, the private-equity firm which co-owns the UK-based company will sell National Accident Helpline if a good enough offer is made. If no suitable offers are forthcoming the owners may opt to refinance the business.
PricewaterhouseCoopers has been appointed to handle any sale, which is expected to fetch £90m. Private-equity houses have so far shown the greatest interest in the purchase.
LDC bought the helpline in 2006. July was the most successful month in the history of the company, founded in 1993.
