MCR has been hired to act as the administrator to printing supplier Litho Supplies plc, and divisions Litho Supplies (UK) Limited and Graphica Plus Limited, which trades as Anderson's.
The businesses are continuing to trade the business and none of the 120 staff have been made redundant.
Joint administrators Philip Duffy and Andrew Stoneman are looking to sell the businesses as a going concern.
Duffy said: "The administration...follows the continuing pressure on the printing sector including the flexographic, digital printing and corporate print markets, during the recession."
Litho Supplies has blamed bad debt from struggling printers for an application to suspend its shares on the London Stock Exchange. It was also waiting to make an agreement with HMRC to pay overdue VAT over an extended length of time.
Subsidiary Litho Supplies (UK) supplies and distributes printing consumables, equipment and services.
The Derbyshire-based firm had suffered a loss of customers leading to a 20% decrease in revenues in the last 12 months, cashflow problems, and a reduction in credit terms from some suppliers.
