Radical restructuring of MFI could include sale

Large shareholders in MFI are pressing the need for a radical restructuring of the troubled group. This may include the sale of the MFI retail chain. A sale of the group's furniture business would permit MFI to focus on its Howden Joinery division, which sells kitchens to builders and small developers. Sales at the loss-making MFI furniture business have fallen 15% year-on-year over the past three months.
