Neil Mather and David Hudson of Begbies Traynor have been called in to a UK architecture firm that has gone into administration.
The UK arm of Ireland-based Douglas Wallace Architects and Designers (DWDL) specialises in the retail and leisure sectors. Its blue-chip clients include H&M, Hugo Boss, Intercontinental Hotels, and The G Hotel.
The troubled subsidiary Douglas Wallace Architects has seen a substantial fall in sales in the wake of the credit crunch.
DWDL operates in the UK, Greece, Romania and Malta, and has 13 employees at its London office.
DWDL is undergoing an examinership (administration equivalent) process in the Irish court, which it is hoped will see a restructuring or sale of its struggling business.
The administrators are continuing to trade the business whilst in the search for a buyer. Potential bidders have already come forward. Mr Mather suggests that other interested parties should make their interest known quickly.
