Unilever could sell off laundry detergents assets

Consumer products company Unilever is expected to consider selling off a number of assets, including Persil, Omo, All and Whisk, according to reports. The group's 'developed-world' laundry detergents in Europe and America have been estimated to be worth €3bn, and could see interest from an industry buyer or private equity firm. Competitor Procter & Gamble is currently the US and Europe market leader in detergent.
