Telford-based manufacturer Moveero has ceased trading, more than three months after entering administration, after efforts to find a buyer for the business failed. Operating from a site at Hadley Castle, the company, which dated back to 1908, manufactured wheels, rims and hubs used in off-highway sectors including construction and agriculture.
Moveero Limited fell into administration, alongside Sankey Holding Limited and Autostructures Limited, in March 2026. Part of the wider US-headquartered Moveero group, which was unaffected by the collapse, the UK business had faced significant challenges in recent years.
Operational difficulties at the UK operation were linked to a weakened off-highway market, downward pricing pressure and increasingly strong competition from rivals.
Upon their initial appointment earlier this year, administrators agreed ongoing support and funding from key customers, enabling them to assess available options and complete ongoing production and delivery schedules while working to find buyers for the businesses and assets.
However, a sale as a going concern ultimately proved inviable, with administrators saying that the financial investment required to turn the business around meant that a sale was not possible. 98 staff have been made redundant after operations related to Moveero Limited ceased.
In the year to December 31 2024, Moveero Limited reported revenue of £35.5 million, down from approximately £44.1 million a year earlier, while post-tax operating losses increased sharply from £242,000 to £4.4 million.
At the time, the company’s non-current assets were valued at around £12.4 million and current assets at approximately £8.1 million, but net liabilities totalled close to £6 million.
