Ranger Fire and Security, an acquisitive fire and security company with a number of brands across the UK, has secured a majority private equity investment to support its ongoing M&A strategy.
The investment from Inflexion will enable Ranger to accelerate its growth plans and continue its strategy of acquiring high-performing local businesses, as well as supporting further integration of back-office functions across the group.
Inflexion’s backing will help to advance Ranger’s aim of building a national fire and security services platform across the UK, as well as potentially supporting future moves into continental Europe.
Since it was launched, Ranger has acquired more than 25 businesses across the whole of Great Britain and Ireland. The firm’s growth has seen it achieve revenues of more than £75 million and expand to over 500 employees.

Bridges added that Inflexion’s support and expertise would enable Ranger to “accelerate our plans, scale faster and continue building a leading one-stop shop for fire and security services."
Saying that Ranger had “built a compelling platform”, Inflexion partner Michael Baster commented: "With a clear vision, acquisition strategy and a strong track record of integrating high-quality businesses, we see significant further opportunity ahead."
As part of the deal, Hyperion will make a substantial re-investment alongside Inflexion, supporting Ranger’s long-term goals.
