Stowe Family Law, a private equity-backed law firm based in Leeds, has expanded its presence in Scotland after joining forces with Kee Solicitors, a family law practice with offices in Glasgow and Aberdeen.
Stowe Family Law, which is backed by alternative investment firm Investcorp, has over 90 offices across England and Wales, with a team of almost 400 professionals supporting more than 5,000 clients every year on financial settlements, divorce and complex child matters.
Through its partnership with Kee Solicitors, the firm will now be able to extend its family law services even further across the UK. Rachel Roberts, UK Managing Director at Stowe Family Law, said the partnership was “an important milestone for Stowe as we continue to broaden the support we can offer families across the UK.”
She continued: “Kee Solicitors is a well-respected firm that shares our belief that family law should combine empathy, expertise and innovation to achieve the best outcomes for clients.”
Roberts said that Investcorp’s support had enabled Stowe to accelerate its growth and technology strategy, ensuring it can offer “an even more seamless and supportive experience for clients.”
Kee Solicitors Managing Director Jonathan Kee said that Stowe was a practice that shared the firm’s values and approach, which he defined as being “compassionate, accessible, and supported by smart technology.”
He added that the partnership with Stowe would enable Kee Solicitors to strengthen its service offering to clients in Scotland, while maintaining its values and culture.
Stowe Family Law has seen significant growth over recent years. In the year to March 31 2024, it reported turnover of close to £38 million, up from around £24.7 million a year earlier, while its operating profits soared from £2.7 million to approximately £6.9 million.
While it is yet to post its accounts for the year to March 31 2025, it is reported to have further increased its turnover to around £50 million.
