Easy-Trim Roofing and Construction Products, a Lancashire-based manufacturer of roofing accessories, has been acquired out of administration by precast concrete business FP McCann.
Founded in 2005, Easy-Trim works serves merchants, suppliers, distributors, contractors, installers and specifiers. The company is based in Accrington and has a 100,000 sq ft distribution facility in Altham, Lancashire.
The firm manufactures, supplies and distributes roofing products including eaves ventilation, liquid roofing, membranes, brick ventilation and cavity insulation, loft hatches and access panels and lead accessories.
In the year ending December 31 2023, Easy-Trim Roofing and Construction Products Limited reported turnover of £18.1 million, down from £18.4 million a year earlier, but increased its pre-tax profits from around £17,000 to over £233,000.
At the time, its fixed assets were valued at approximately £4.2 million and current assets at £8.3 million, with net assets amounting to £1.5 million.
Easy-Trim fell into administration on January 9 2026, with Philip Dakin and Benjamin Wiles of Kroll Advisory appointed as joint administrators. The company was subsequently acquired by leading precast concrete manufacturer and supplier FP McCann.
According to the buyer, the acquisition will enable customers to get all their roofing projects carried out from a single source, with the deal described as a major milestone in the growth of the group’s roofing and building products division.
The company stated: “Easy-Trim’s commitment to quality and innovation in roofing accessories aligns perfectly with our own values. This partnership allows us to provide an even more robust and complete offering to the construction industry, reinforcing our position as a one-stop shop for high-performance building materials.”
FP McCann said that the deal represented part of its long-term growth strategy, as well as its “commitment to investing in the UK construction market”, adding that the “integration of Easy-Trim’s expertise and product range will support our mission to deliver superior value and service to customers nationwide.”
In accounts for the year to December 31 2024, FP McCann Group Ltd reported turnover of £415.3 million, roughly level with the previous year, while post-tax profits increased from £47.2 million to £52.4 million.
