Prominent wealth management group Azets Wealth Management has agreed a deal to acquire a firm of chartered financial planners with two offices in Cornwall. Azets’ acquisition of Evans Falco further strengthens the group’s team and specialist expertise.
Evans Falco, which was founded in 2010, is based in Redruth and has a second office in Newquay. The company is led by chartered financial planners Treve Evans and Rosie Falco, who both have deep roots in Cornwall.
Following the acquisition, Evans Falco’s team will relocate to Azets’ regional offices in Plymouth and Truro, with the team, along with Treve Evans and Rosie Falco, joining Azets Wealth Management.
Rosie Falco said that joining Azets would provide the firm with “the chance to grow while continuing to deliver the high-quality, personal advice our clients expect”, adding that being part of the group would allow the firm “to offer clients even more choice and depth of expertise without losing the values that define us."
Mark Parkinson, Chief Executive at Azets Wealth Management, commented: "Evans Falco has built a fantastic reputation in Cornwall and the South West for trusted, Chartered financial planning."
"Their people-first culture and specialist knowledge are a natural fit with Azets Wealth Management, and we’re delighted to have them on board. This is another important step in strengthening our regional presence and ensuring clients benefit from the very best advice and support."
The acquisition is described as marking further national expansion for Azets, which operates from UK hubs in Scotland and the North East.
The deal follows Azets’ recent acquisitions of Glasgow-based wealth management and chartered accountancy firm Milne Craig and Newcastle-based chartered financial planners Laurus Associates.
In the year to June 30 2024, Azets Holdings Limited reported turnover of £283.6 million, up from £251.1 million a year earlier, while operating profit rose from around £12.3 million to £18.3 million.
