Nicholas Pearson Associates, a Bath-based consultancy, has been acquired by acquisitive group Global Ecology and Environmental Group (GEE). Nicholas Pearson Associates, which has provided environmental consultancy, landscape architecture, ecology and visualisation services for more than 40 years, becomes the eighth business to join GEE since its inception last year.
Since launching in 2025, GEE has worked quickly and strategically to acquire specialist consultancies and integrate them into the broader group, as it seeks to build a market-leading ecological and environmental consultancy.
The most recent acquisition will see Chairman Nicholas Pearson, who founded his namesake company in 1982, retire from the business.

GEE acquired its first business in the spring of 2025, with the purchase of MKA Ecology, a specialist provider of ecological services to clients across local authorities, commercial and higher education.
Since then, the group has acquired Burton Reid Associates, Earth Active, Johns Associates, Living Earth, Mine Environment Management, and Wildwood Ecology.
The addition of Nicholas Pearson Associates takes GEE’s team to nearly 200 environmental professionals. Following the significant expansion that the group saw during 2025, 2026 is expected to be another year of major growth.
