My Baggage, a luggage shipping and personal effects logistics specialist based in Belfast, has acquired London-based competitor Sherpr. The acquisition of Sherpr brings an additional seven-figures in revenue, as well as nine new employees, into the My Baggage Group.
Sherpr was founded in 2017 and has relationships with a number of major travel brands. The firm currently provides excess-baggage transport services for Eurostar’s high volume routes between the UK and France, as well as wider luggage services for UK rail and tour operators, working with brands including LNER and South Western Railway.
Founded by Paul Stewart in 2010 as Uni Baggage, My Baggage originally provided student relocation services, before rebranding and expanding into the global consumer, business and travel logistics markets in 2019.
The acquisition of Sherpr, which was supported by EY and Millar McCall Wylie, enhances the firm’s operational footprint across the UK, Ireland, France, the US and Australia, while accelerating its expansion into travel-industry partnerships in the rail, tour operator and aviation markets.
Paul Stewart, founder of My Baggage, commented: "Sherpr has built impressive relationships across the UK travel industry, and this acquisition marks an important step in expanding our partnerships line of business into 2026 and beyond.”
"Sherpr’s strong foundations complement our growing portfolio which includes My Baggage, NI Parcels, Irish Parcels and now Sherpr which are all focused on simplifying how people move their possessions around the world."
Calling My Baggage a “market-leading operator”, Sherpr Managing Director Cass Warrick said that joining the group would provide scale and operational strength that would enable Sherpr “to scale faster, more efficiently and with greater international reach.”
He continued: "There is a clear cultural and strategic fit, and we believe this combination unlocks substantial growth opportunities.”
