Cardiff-headquartered building maintenance firm Cardo Group has acquired Faskin Group, a roofing business based in Paisley. The acquisition is described as bringing a skilled workforce into the group and adding specialist local roofing expertise. In addition, the deal is expected to provide Cardo Group with the opportunity to offer greater value to its national client base.
Founded in 2010 by Frank and Karen O'Hara, Faskin Group has developed into a well-established roofing business in the Paisley area. Following the acquisition, the company will continue to operate under the ongoing leadership of Frank and Karen O'Hara as it integrates into Cardo Group over the coming months.
Liam Bevan, CEO of Cardo Group, said that Faskin Group’s “reputation for quality, their hands-on leadership, and their commitment to developing people [...] perfectly aligns with our values.”
Bevan continued: "Faskin Group’s deep expertise and strong market presence in Scotland enhances our national service delivery while supporting our long-term investment in skilled local workforces."
Faskin Group Managing Director Frank O’Hara commented: "Excellence and quality have always been at the centre of Faskin Group. We’re proud of the team we’ve built, the apprentices we’ve supported, and the strong reputation we’ve earned for delivering work we stand behind.”
"Joining Cardo allows us to build on that foundation—broadening our capabilities, supporting more clients while continuing to invest in the people and standards that Faskin Group is known for."
The acquisition adds further depth and expertise to Cardo Group, during what has been a period of significant growth for the company. In the year to February 28 2025, Cardo Group Limited reported turnover of £145.2 million, up from £83.6 million a year earlier, while operating profits rose from £1.7 million to £6.3 million.
