Acquisitive testing, inspection, certification and compliance (TICC) investor Celnor Group has completed its latest acquisition with a deal for rural land and property consultancy Rural Solutions, which joins the group’s Built Environment division.
Rural Solutions, which is headquartered in Skipton, is a multi-disciplinary firm that provides specialist consultancy, planning, landscape and architecture services for rural developments. Specific services include business planning, planning consents, project management, feasibility appraisals and strategy.
The firm has a team of approximately 40 professionals operating nationally, including consultants, architects, landscape architects, planners, property development experts, researchers and analysts. It provides strategic advice, planning and design services aimed at maximising the value of rural land and property, working with developers, property agents, private individuals, leisure operators and landowning institutions.
Rural Solutions has a depth and breadth of expertise covering heritage conservation, regenerative land management, strategy and master planning, rural housing, leisure and commercial developments and the creation of country homes and experiences.
The firm's Managing Director William Fry said that he sees “strong alignment” with Celnor Group, adding: “Being part of the Built Environment division will allow us to enhance our offer by strengthening our ability to support our clients through access to a range of technical, environmental and professional property services from across the group and continue to deliver creative and sustainable solutions for our clients and rural communities across the UK.”
Celnor founder and CEO Simon Parrington said that Rural Solutions’ “specialist expertise in rural planning, design, and development” would add significant depth to the group’s Built Environment division.
He continued: “With their national reputation, creative approach, and strong focus on rural communities, Rural Solutions complements our collective ambition to support clients in navigating their compliance and regulatory challenges across the built environment life cycle.”
Celnor is one of the most acquisitive companies in the UK, having expanded rapidly through M&A since being founded in 2023. The company’s growth has established it as an international group generating revenue of £200 million.
Celnor’s model is centred around its four divisions: Built Environment, Safety & Compliance, Risk Management and Analytical Sciences. The group acquires specialist, entrepreneur-led businesses within these markets, providing the infrastructure to accelerate their growth, including through M&A.
