Celnor Group, an investor in entrepreneur-led businesses working in the testing, inspection, certification and compliance (TICC) sector, has acquired Meridian Consult, a provider of building control and regulatory consultancy services. The deal is seen as a significant addition to Celnor’s Risk Management division.
Meridian Consult is headquartered in Stafford and has surveyors across the Midlands, North West and London. The firm supports clients through the design, construction and completion of projects nationwide.
Founded in 2003, the company works in a range of industries, including commercial, residential, healthcare, education and mixed-use developments and supports projects spanning from small-scale schemes to major regeneration and high-rise developments.
In addition to its core building control services, the company also offers specialist consultancy services in a number of other areas, including fire safety, technical compliance and latent defect auditing.
Simon Parrington, founder and Chief Executive of Celnor Group, said: "Meridian Consult is a highly respected business with an excellent reputation for technical expertise, client service and professionalism.”
"The team has built a strong presence in the building control sector and their services complement our existing Risk Management division extremely well. We look forward to supporting the business as it continues its growth journey."
Colin Goode, director, Meridian Consult, added: "Joining the Celnor Group represents an exciting opportunity for our business, staff and customers.”
"Becoming part of a group which shares our core values was a fundamental requirement when looking to the future of the company. Celnor shares those same values, and also the commitment to excellence that has always been at the core of Meridian Consult.”
"This collaboration will enable us to build on those strengths, while continuing to deliver the high levels of service people have come to expect from Meridian Consult."
