Law firm Clarke Willmott has strengthened its commercial division by buying specialist UK business immigration firm Latitude Law.
Clarke Willmott, which has offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton, said the move would bring a strong team of highly regarded immigration specialists into the firm, creating a new dedicated UK immigration law capability. Latitude Law, with branches in Manchester, London and Brussels, advises clients such as corporates, business owners and high net worth (HNW) individuals guiding them through complex Home Office applications and compliance requirements.
Its work includes supporting individuals with family, work or study visas to partnering corporate HR teams with their sponsor licence requirements, to undertaking lengthy & often complex human rights cases.
It is widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading immigration practices ranked in Legal 500, Lexology and Chambers and Partners UK.
Clarke Willmott hailed the deal as a key strategic milestone broadening its practice offering in response to increasing client demand for specialist immigration advice. It also creates new opportunities to provide integrated legal services across the firm, particularly for its existing corporate and private wealth clients.

Led by Latitude founder Gary McIndoe, the immigration team will be based in Clarke Willmott’s Manchester office and become part of the commercial services division, headed by Partner and Head of Manchester office Ed Foulkes. The team is expected to complete its full integration into the firm in early November.
