A compliance services group has expanded with the acquisition of a fire protection company based in the North West, just days after announcing a rebrand. Complii, the newly rebranded Compliance Group, has acquired Parr Fire Protection Services.
Parr Fire Protection Services is a prominent, longstanding provider of fire protection services, with a particular focus on fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting and complementary services such as fire risk assessment and training.
Following the acquisition by Complii, the Bolton-based company will continue to operate under its current leadership, helmed by Managing Director Ian Blackledge and Operations Director Dale Jackson.
Ian Blackledge commented: "Our customers will continue to receive the same high-quality service they expect, now with the added support of Complii and access to an even broader range of building compliance services."
Headquartered in London, Complii is an integrated provider of safety and regulatory compliance services spanning fire, electrical, water and air. The company’s rebrand from Compliance Group was announced last week.
Complii Group Chief Executive Sarah Dixon commented: “We're delighted to welcome Ian, Dale, and the entire Parr Fire team to Complii. Their expertise and commitment to putting clients first aligns perfectly with our approach and their strong presence in the North West will help strengthen Complii's footprint across the region."
In accounts for the year to December 31 2023, Complii (trading as Compliance Group) reported turnover of £28.2 million, up from around £17.8 million a year earlier, but saw its operating losses widen from £2.1 million to nearly £5.6 million.
During that year, the group completed a number of acquisitions, with directors saying that revenue would have stood at £35 million and EBITDA at £3.5 million after adjusting for exceptional items and factoring in the group’s acquisition of Fire Safe, which was agreed during 2023 but completed in January 2024.
