Eddisons, the property advisory and transactional services business of corporate restructuring giant Begbies Traynor Group, has completed its second acquisition in as many days with a deal for a major property consultancy in Central and East England.
The firm has acquired Kirkby Diamond, which operates from offices in Milton Keynes, Bedford, Luton, St Albans and Enfield with a team of 62 staff. The acquisition is worth up to £8.25 million, representing a 7.5x multiple of Kirby Diamond’s normalised pre-tax profits of £1.1 million for the year ending January 31 2025, generated on revenues of £6.2 million.
The acquisition and integration of Kirkby Diamond will give Eddisons a footprint that covers the entire M1 corridor. The deal comes just a day after the company’s £1 million takeover of South East-based property auctioneer Network Auctions.
Eddisons Managing Director Anthony Spencer said: "The acquisition significantly strengthens our geographical coverage and expertise, consolidating our market position in key industrial locations.”
"Kirkby Diamond is a great fit with Eddisons, culturally and strategically, and I look forward to taking forward the growth opportunities that the deal presents."
Kirkby Diamond Managing Director Luke Tillison said that the firm had “built a reputation for placing our clients' interests at the forefront of everything we do” and that joining Eddisons would provide the opportunity “to develop our offering on a broader basis”.
Begbies Traynor Group Executive Chair Ric Traynor said that the acquisition was in line with the group’s strategy of developing its property advisory and transactional services business by expanding and enhancing its service offering and geographical presence.
He continued: "It takes the division to an annualised revenue run rate in excess of £50m derived from a wide range of property services and nationwide coverage."
