Testing Services (UK) Limited, an electrical inspection, testing and compliance specialist, has been acquired by compliance services provider Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG).
Heckmondwike-based Testing Services has more than two decades of experience providing electrical inspection and testing services to customers across the UK, helping organisations to ensure the safety and reliability of their electrical systems.
The company provides compliance-led services, including electrical installation condition reports (EICR), emergency lighting inspections, portable appliance testing (PAT), fire alarm and extinguisher works and associated remedial services.
Post-acquisition, founder and Managing Director Jon Robert will remain with the company, continuing to lead its development as part of PTSG.
The acquisition is the latest in a string of deals for Castleford-headquartered PTSG, which provides specialist compliance services to the facilities management industry, construction sector and end-user market.
The group, which is backed by private equity investor Warburg Pincus, has recently acquired businesses including an East Sussex-based clean air specialist, a Derbyshire roofing maintenance provider and an electrical compliance and testing firm based in Leeds.
The acquisition of Testing Services is set to further strengthen the group’s Electrical Services division, bolstering its capacity to deliver electrical inspection and testing services.
The deal was led by PTSG Executive Chairman Paul Teasdale, who described Testing Services as “an excellent strategic fit” for the group, saying the firm “has developed a strong reputation for technical expertise, high levels of customer service and consistent operational performance in a highly regulated sector.”
He continued: "Electrical compliance continues to be one of the most important areas of building safety across the UK, and organisations increasingly require trusted partners capable of delivering specialist testing and inspection services at scale. By bringing Testing Services into the Group, we are strengthening our ability to meet that demand.”
Teasdale added that Jon Roberts and the wider Testing Services team would bring critical knowledge, experience and customer relationships as PTSG continues to grow its electrical compliance offering.
