My Property Box, an estate agency group backed by BGF, has further expanded its network in the North East with the acquisition of two letting agencies in County Durham. The group has acquired Ready to Rent and Newton Assets as it continues its acquisitive growth in the region.
The acquisitions are My Property Box’s second and third takeovers of 2025 so far, following the purchase of Darlington-based Bellwood & Harris earlier this year, and mean the company has completed 15 acquisitions in the space of seven years.
The acquisitions of the two companies, which operate in the Seaham area and were both sold due to retirement, take My Property Box’s rental portfolio to more than 360 properties.
The deals were backed by a multimillion-pound BGF investment that the group secured in July 2024. My Property Box has offices in Newcastle, Darlington and Northallerton and, with deals like the new double acquisition, continues to expand its reach across the North East and North Yorkshire.
