Lettings and estate agency group Lomond has continued its acquisitive growth with the acquisition of eddisonwhite Limited. London estate agency eddisonwhite comprises three branches in Colliers Wood, Wimbledon and Morden.
Eddisonwhite was founded by Richard Eddison 21 years ago after he identified an opportunity for an estate agency in the Colliers Wood area offering a client-first approach. The business has since grown organically and developed strong community roots.
The company has now been acquired by Lomond through the group’s flagship London agency Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH), which already has a significant presence, with more than 60 branches across South London. The acquisition will provide KFH with a stronger presence in the Merton area.
John Ennis, Chief Revenue Officer at Lomond, said: “We are excited to welcome on board the clients, customers and staff of eddisonwhite who have operated for many years in South West London, right in the heartland of KFH. They are a natural fit for the brand, emphasising the same personal service and local knowledge for which KFH is best known.”
Richard Eddison, Founder and Director of eddisonwhite said that it was the right time to pass on ownership of the business to a buyer that was “equipped to help steer and support our clients through the changing property landscape.”
He continued: “After experiencing the core values and ethos of KFH first-hand early in my own career, there’s no doubt in my mind that it’s the perfect fit for eddisonwhite’s next step.”
The deal is a sixth acquisition of the year so far in London for Lomond, which has completed more than 70 acquisitions since it was formed through the merger of Lomond Capital and Linley & Simpson in 2021.
Lomond, which has stated that it is “always looking to acquire larger agencies to act as a ‘hub’ for new locations”, has used M&A to build a network of 225 branches, with more than 2,500 employees and around 70,000 properties.
