Express Solicitors has completed its third deal of the year after completing the acquisition of Greater Manchester-based specialist personal injury firm Recovery Assist. The acquisition accelerates Express Solicitors’ growth strategy and provides a major boost to its portfolio of specialist brands and claim types.
The deal follows Express Solicitors’ recent acquisitions of Aegis Legal Ltd and Sorrymate/Smooth Law.
The transaction will see Recovery Assist partner Margaret Crausby join Express Solicitors in a newly-created leadership role, focused on managing, retaining and developing new workstreams and brands brought in through recent acquisitions.
Crausby will spearhead the development of a number of specialist areas, including the expansion of the Sorrymate brand and the leveraging of Express Solicitors’ larger marketing and operational infrastructure.
Crausby will also assist in the integration and optimisation of new claim types added through Express Solicitors’ acquisition pipeline. Her remit will centre on ensuring that acquired brands retain their identity and client base, whilst also benefitting from the enhanced scale, resources and national reach offered by Express Solicitors.
In addition, the firm is planning to grow HNK Solicitors’ specialist lines, including data breach, CICA claims and actions against the police.
Crausby said that Express Solicitors “has the ambition, investment and expertise to take these specialist brands to the next level.”
She continued: “I’m looking forward to developing new opportunities, strengthening our niche areas of work, and ensuring that clients across all brands continue to receive exceptional service."
James Maxey, Express Solicitors Chief Executive, added: "This acquisition is another important milestone in our growth journey. Margaret brings deep expertise in specialist claim types and brand development, and her leadership will be instrumental as we continue to expand our portfolio.”
"Recovery Assist is a strong, well-respected firm, and we’re delighted to welcome Margaret and her team to Express Solicitors."
