FLIGHT Centre Travel Group Limited (FLT) has announced the acquisition of leading brand experience, creative and meetings and events (M&E) agency Fresh Approach (UK) Holdings Limited. Post-acquisition, Fresh will integrate into FLT’s FCM Meetings & Events (FCM M&E) operation.
The acquisition is described as strengthening the group's capabilities in the fast-growing M&E market, delivering an immediate capability uplift, creating cross-sell opportunities, deepening client relationships and accelerating FLT’s expansion into non-traditional revenue streams.
Following the integration, Fresh will retain its identity, while benefitting from access to FLT’s enhanced global scale, governance and technology. The business, which operates from offices in Manchester and Edinburgh, will continue to be led by CEO Lee Harris and the existing leadership team.
In the year to December 31 2024, Fresh reported turnover of £15.5 million, up from £11.5 million a year earlier, while recovering from an operating loss of around £329,000 to record a profit of approximately £353,000.
According to FLT, Fresh is forecast to deliver turnover of around £18 million and EBITDA of £1.2 million during the 2026 fiscal year.
FLT said that the deal would generate an immediate uplift in its capabilities through Fresh’s integrated service lines that span experiential design, creative, production, content, film, social digital platforms and logistics. These services are typically outsourced by FCM M&E, with the acquisition meaning it can now offer a seamless, end-to-end M&E offering.
The deal combines the strength of both businesses, reduces reliance on third-party suppliers, captures additional margin and positions the firm to capture a greater share of the UK M&E sector, which is forecast to achieve annual growth of around 7 per cent.
FLT managing director Graham Turner said: “Fresh is a quality business, with a strong market reputation and blue-chip client roster, that elevates our position in an attractive sector and gives us broader capability to support our corporate customers. With Fresh’s addition, we can deliver a fully integrated M&E offering in the UK, reduce reliance on external suppliers and capture more value within the group.”
“This acquisition helps us deepen relationships with our corporate clients by offering more of the services they need in one place - creative, production and travel management delivered seamlessly. Fresh unlocks meaningful growth opportunities on both sides of the relationship, from cross-selling into our UK corporate customer base to supporting Fresh’s clients with our global travel capabilities.”
Fresh CEO Lee Harris added: “Our capabilities will work in unison to remove the friction between planning and creation, all underpinned by strategic thinking and world class creative. This integration allows us to provide a premium, scalable service that delivers visibility, the wow factor and, most importantly, strong returns on investment.”
