Private equity-backed procurement and efficiency partner Inprova Group has acquired a majority stake in Housemark, a Coventry-based provider of data intelligence and insights to the UK housing sector.
The deal brings together Inprova’s technology-enabled procurement and operational improvement capabilities with Housemark’s expertise in housing data and insights. Longstanding Housemark partners, the Chartered Institute of Housing and the National Housing Federation, will retain a shareholding in the firm and continue to support its ongoing development.
Warrington-based Inprova was first backed by NVM Private Equity in November 2022, with the firm continuing to support Group Chief Executive Steve Malone and the leadership team as they have scaled the business since then.
Andy Leach, investment partner at NVM Private Equity, commented: “Inprova is a great example of an ambitious, high-quality North West business that NVM is proud to support. The partnership with Housemark is an important next step in its growth journey, bringing together two organisations with complementary expertise and strong sector relationships.”
Inprova Group Chief Executive Steve Malone said that NVM’s backing had helped the firm to “invest in the capabilities that matter to our customers as we continue our vision of becoming the built environment’s definitive ‘performance partner’.”
He continued: "Housemark has built an outstanding reputation as a trusted provider of data and insight to the housing sector. We have been impressed by the strength of the team, the quality of its products and the important role the business plays in helping organisations make informed decisions.”
Malone added that the investment in Housemark reflected Inprova’s confidence in the company role and importance within the UK’s social housing sector.
