A lift maintenance and repair specialist backed by LDC has completed its latest deal with the acquisition of a North East-based counterpart. West Midlands-headquartered Deltron Lifts, which is part of the Pace Group, has acquired Exel Elevator in a deal that expands its geographic footprint and service offering across the North East.
Newcastle-based Exel Elevator has been operating across the North East for over 15 years. The company provides a comprehensive range of lift services to a commercial client base covering sectors including facilities support, building management and more.
The company offers a number of tailored service agreements, ranging from route maintenance to full modernisation packages. In addition, the firm also provides 24/7 callout and breakdown services.
Lucas Schlenker, Chief Executive of Deltron, commented: "It was a smooth process, and we are excited to be strengthening our footprint and density in the North East region with a brand like Exel, which will enable us to further engage in organic growth in the region."
The deal was facilitated by Kings Corporate, who had previously facilitated the sale of The Elevator Group to Deltron Lifts. The sale process for Exel Elevator attracted strong interest from a number of parties, leading to a competitive bidding process.
Nathan Miller, Corporate Finance Executive at Kings Corporate, who identified Deltron as the buyer, described Exel Elevator as “a highly regarded business with a strong operational platform and an experienced team.”
He added: "We are delighted to have facilitated this sale to Deltron Lifts, in a transaction which took under nine months from initial instruction to sale.”
The acquisition represents the latest deal for Deltron Lifts, which secured backing from private equity firm LDC in July 2024. Some of its previous LDC-backed acquisitions include Elevate UK Lifts, Abacus Elevators, Total Lift Care and Bourne Lifts.
