Hull-based live entertainment transport specialist MM Band Services has been acquired by Netherlands-headquartered entertainment logistics company Pieter Smit Group. MM Band Services provides premium transport services to the live entertainment industry across the UK and Europe and has worked on tours for major artists including Shakira, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and the Foo Fighters.
Post-acquisition, MM Band Services will continue to operate under its existing brand, with Managing Director Mike Moulds and the wider team remaining in place.
The deal strengthens Pieter Smit’s UK presence, providing the group with a strategic hub through which to serve touring productions and more effectively navigate the complexities that have arisen in travel between the UK and mainland Europe post-Brexit.

A team from Andrew Jackson Solicitors, led by Corporate Partner Daniel Hammond, provided legal advice to MM Band Services during the transaction.
