Lomond has acquired Liverpool-based lettings and estate agency Homesure as it seeks to expand across the UK private rental sector. Operating from three locations, Homesure is an established presence in the Liverpool property market, with a 30-strong team managing more than 1,700 properties across the city and its surrounding areas.
Homesure serves a wide market, both geographically and in terms of potential growth, with the deal positioning Lomond to capitalise on one of the most dynamic regional rental sectors in the UK.
Homesure was founded in 2007 by Steve Kenny, achieving steady organic growth since then under the leadership of Kenny, Nick Stott, and Mark Loughnane. Since 2016, the company has expanded further through five acquisitions.
The company also specialises in supporting overseas investors operating in Liverpool’s property market, which is bolstered by strong tailwinds including the city’s strong sporting and artistic culture, as well as its proximity to Manchester and Cheshire.
Following the acquisition, Homesure will continue to operate under its existing brand, while becoming Lomond’s regional hub in Liverpool. Lomond’s Chief Revenue Officer for the Midlands and North West, Paul Clarke, will oversee the business.
Homesure strengthens Lomond’s presence in the North West, joining the group’s growing portfolio of established regional brands. Post-acquisition, Homesure will continue to be led by its existing leadership team, with Nick Stott, Mark Loughnane and the wider staff remaining in place.
Paul Clark, regional Chief Revenue Officer at Lomond, said that the deal would showcase the firm’s “model of identifying exceptional businesses and preserving what makes them unique, while providing powerful behind-the-scenes support and additional benefits to staff and clients”.
Homesure director Mark Loughnane stated that the firm’s values would remain at the heart of the business post-acquisition, with Lomond’s backing also meaning the company is “ideally positioned to help clients navigate the new legislative landscape and continue to deliver outstanding service."
Homesure CEO Nick Stott said that the company’s clients would benefit from “enhanced support and an expanded range of services”.
Ed Phillips, group chief executive of Lomond, commented: "Liverpool is a strategically important market for Lomond, and Homesure is exactly the kind of business we look to partner with: strong local roots, a respected team and values that closely align with our own.”
Phillips added that Homesure’s consistent growth and client-first approach made them a strong fit for Lomond.
