A pair of financial education and professional development companies headquartered in London have been acquired by the portfolio company of a global private investment firm.
Wall Street Prep, a portfolio company of global private investment firm The Riverside Company, has acquired Financial Edge and Euromoney Learning in its first add-on deals. The acquisitions create a leading global finance training platform that will serve financial institutions, universities and professionals via integrated in-person, digital and open-enrolment learning solutions.
Financial Edge provides investment banks, private equity firms, corporations, asset managers and other finance professionals with new-hire training. The firm’s services are delivered via both in-house sessions and experiential learning through its digital platform Felix.
Euromoney Learning offers more than 100 courses covering banking and finance, risk and compliance and professional development topics focusing on providing continuing development for mid-career professionals. The company offers both in-house bespoke training programmes and public courses and serves a global client base across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Peter Tsang, Co-Chief Investment Officer of Riverside’s Capital Appreciation strategy (RCAF), said that the two add-ons “bring impressive expertise and long-standing global client relationships to Wall Street Prep”, significantly boost its “content portfolio, expand its international reach, and strengthen its ability to serve financial institutions at scale.”
Matan Feldman, CEO of Wall Street Prep, said that, as AI reshapes traditional roles and skills within finance, training partners need to act as “extensions” of their client teams, bringing “thought leadership and innovation to talent development”.
Feldman added that the acquisitions bring together three highly respected financial education brands, with the combination meaning that clients will have “access to the most comprehensive suite of solutions in the industry and a partner who can support them at every stage of their teams’ growth.”
Riverside Vice President Scott Henderson said that the strategic integrations would create “the leading global learning platform focused on workforce development and upskilling across the financial industry.”
The add-on deals are described as underscoring Riverside’s education and training sector specialisation, with the company having invested in more than 120 education and training firms, including businesses specialising in pre-K, K-12, post-secondary education, corporate training and certifications.
