Leading property services group LRG has acquired an East Midlands-based market town specialist estate and lettings agency. Residential Property Group Ltd, trading as Osprey Property, was founded in 2005 by shareholders James Turcan and Robert Brown.
The Leicester-based firm provides sales and lettings services across Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Rutland and Northamptonshire, with branches in Oakham, Melton Mowbray, Stamford, and Oundle.
Following the acquisition, the company will continue to operate under its existing Osprey brand as part of LRG. All Osprey staff will remain with the company, including Managing Director Graham Freeman.
Commenting on the deal, Freeman said: "Joining LRG is an exciting step for Osprey. We've built a loyal customer base and strong local teams, and being part of a larger group will enable us to continue delivering the personal service we're known for, with the added benefit of national support and investment.”
Freeman, who had previously worked at LRG, said that the acquisition would generate opportunities for Osprey’s staff and clients.
The acquisition of Osprey sees Camberley-based LRG move into three new market towns where its coverage had previously been limited. The transaction comes less than three weeks after LRG’s acquisition of North of England firm Northern Estate Agencies Group in a deal that added 36 locations across West Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
LRG Group Mergers and Acquisitions Director Matthew Light said: "This is another significant acquisition and another strong step in our strategy to partner with high-quality multi-branch regional agencies.”
"This marks our second multi-branch acquisition in just three weeks, following the purchase of the Northern Estate Agencies Group, and reflects the strong momentum behind LRG’s expansion plans. We continue to actively work on several strategic opportunities across the property sector and are already building an exciting pipeline for 2026."
