Doolittle & Dalley, a Midlands estate agency founded more than 130 years ago, has been acquired by Surrey-headquartered national group LRG. Post-acquisition, the firm will continue to operate under its existing name, with all staff transferring to LRG upon completion of the deal.
Doolittle & Dalley, which had remained under the same family ownership since its founding, provides residential sales, lettings, commercial lettings and block management. The company operates across Kidderminster and Bridgnorth.
LRG group Mergers and Acquisitions Director Matthew Light said: "Doolittle & Dalley is a business with real history in its local market. It has remained trusted within the community for generations, which says a great deal about the strength of the team and the relationships they have built over time.”
"The strength of the Doolittle & Dalley name has been built over decades through consistency, reputation and local relationships, and that is exactly what attracted us to the business."
Doolittle & Dalley director Richard Hall said that the company’s focus is on long-term relationships, local knowledge and providing consistent services to clients across the Midlands.
When considering its future, Hall said, the firm prioritised finding a long-term home that would provide the strength and stability required to continue supporting staff and clients.
He continued: "LRG stood out because it shares our focus on local relationships and consistent service, while bringing the support, scale and experience to help the business continue building on its strong local position."
LRG Chief Executive Michael Cook said that the acquisition strengthens the group’s presence in an important new area, while bringing another established regional firm into the group.
Cook continued: "Doolittle & Dalley has built a strong position locally through consistency, experience and service, and those qualities make it a natural fit for our network."
Initially founded as a residential sales and lettings firm, LRG has grown to become one of the UK’s largest property services groups, with an offering spanning property management, corporate and portfolio sales, auctions, insurance services, mortgage services, masterplanning and architectural design, leasehold extensions and town planning.
The Leaders Romans Group (trading as LRG) is a subsidiary of Hadrian Acquisition Limited, which is in turn a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hadrian Holding Limited. In the year to December 31 2024, Hadrian Holding Limited reported turnover of around £259 million, up from approximately £208.1 million a year earlier.
