A care home in Pembrokeshire has been acquired by a growing operator in a deal that provides their second care home in the region. Rostley Care Home is registered for up to 14 elderly residents and provides care services for Parkinson’s disease, dementia and stroke rehabilitation.
The home is a single-storey detached facility, constructed from two extended domestic bungalows. Situated in the town of Milford Haven, the facility benefits from strong transport links, including Haverfordwest regional airport and local rail services.
Experienced operators Jayne Anderson and Sarah Kempson have owned and managed Rostley Care Home since 2006, with a person-focused approach involving tailored care for each resident.
The pair decided to sell the care home in order to downsize and move into semi-retirement. Following a confidential sales process with Oliver McCarthy, director – Care at Christie & Co, the home was acquired by local care provider Robin Appathurai.
The acquisition represents Appathurai’s second care home in Pembrokeshire, further bolstering his presence in the region.
Robin Appathurai, the new owner of Rostley Care Home, added: "The home has an excellent reputation locally, and this is a testament to Jayne, Sarah, and their team.”
"I look forward to building on these strong foundations and continuing to provide outstanding care to residents. Expanding my portfolio within Pembrokeshire is an exciting step, and I am committed to maintaining the high standards already in place."
Oliver McCarthy, director – care at Christie & Co, added: "This has been a confidential transaction involving a high-quality care home with an excellent local reputation.”
"Jayne and Sarah have created a business centred around delivering exceptional care, and it has been a pleasure to support them through the sales process."
