DJH, an accountancy and professional services group backed by private equity firm Tenzing, has acquired a longstanding practice in the South East. The acquisition of Kent-based Loucas is DJH’s 20th takeover since 2020 and follows its acquisition of Bexley-based McBrides last year.
The addition of Loucas takes the group’s total workforce to more than 800 staff across the UK and Ireland, with its network now spanning the North West, Yorkshire, the South East, the Midlands and Dublin.
Loucas was founded in 1974 and has grown from a single-desk practice into a firm with a number of locations, serving owner-managed businesses across the South East.
DJH Chief Executive Scott Heath (pictured above) said: "When we made our first acquisition in 2025, we made it clear the South East was a region we intended to grow in, and that's exactly what we are doing.”
"The area is emerging as one of the most entrepreneurial counties in the UK and the demand for high-quality business advice and consultancy is continuing to grow. It has the business density, the entrepreneurial energy, and the economic momentum that makes it exactly the kind of market we want to serve.”
"Loucas is the type of practice we look for. A 50-year strong track record, an expert team that has built something genuinely special, a firm that clients trust, return to, and recommend.”
Heath described the acquisition as reflecting DJH’s aim of combining locally-led expertise with the reach and resources of a national group. He added that Loucas’ presence across Maidstone, Kent and Brighton would complement the group’s existing office in Bexley, providing it with a “broad, connected South East presence”.
Following the acquisition, Loucas’ leadership will remain unchanged, with Managing Director Athos Louca continuing to lead the business alongside the existing senior team.
Athos Louca said that joining DJH would provide the firm’s clients and staff with access to a wider platform, while preserving its longstanding “relationship-first culture”.
