Acquisitive fire and security firm Ranger Fire and Security has continued its M&A-led expansion with a pair of UK and Ireland acquisitions. The acquisitions of Scion Communications Limited and Emerald Fire Technology are Ranger’s first since securing private equity investment from Inflexion earlier this month.
Scion Communications, which operates across the South of England, provides fire and security solutions, with a core offering spanning fire alarms, security systems and access control and a broad client base.
The acquisition of Scion Communications further expands Ranger’s presence in the South of England, following on from its earlier acquisitions of Universal, Fidelity and Partnership.
Cork-based Emerald Fire Technology is a fire and gas detection specialist. The company supplies, commissions, services and repairs equipment for commercial and government-funded customers across Munster.
The purchase adds gas detection services to Ranger’s offering, as well as building out the company’s presence in the region, with Emerald located in close proximity to the group’s existing business B-Safe.
Following the acquisitions, the respective leadership teams of both businesses will remain in place in order to drive growth and preserve the companies’ customer-centric focus, while creating cross-selling opportunities with nearby businesses within the Ranger group.
