CS Regulatory, a regulatory compliance services provider, has been acquired by German Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) group CERTANIA. CS Regulatory, which was founded in 2007, is headquartered in Derby and also has a base in Dublin.
The company provides regulatory compliance services to manufacturers and importers across the UK and Ireland and has built a strong reputation for helping clients to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. The firm acts as an Only Representative where required, supporting businesses in complying with chemical, industrial and product regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
The takeover by CERTANIA is described as strengthening the firm’s offering to manufacturers and importers as they face increasingly complex regulatory landscapes across Europe and further afield.
CS Regulatory director Steven Green said that joining Munich-based CERTANIA would enable the company “to maintain our independent expertise while benefiting from the reach and collaboration of a strong international group.”
Green added that the combined business would be in a position to "deliver even more value to clients navigating complex global regulations."
The acquisition comes as CERTANIA seeks to expand its industrial and regulatory services offering, with the group saying the deal complements its existing technical and regulatory capabilities, while supporting its aim of building a broader industrial services business.
Karsten Xander, CEO and Founder of CERTANIA, commented: “CS Regulatory adds outstanding expertise in chemical regulation and industrial compliance to the CERTANIA Group. This partnership further strengthens our Industrials segment and enables us to serve clients with an even broader portfolio of compliance and regulatory solutions across Europe and beyond.”
Ruth Green, also a director at CS Regulatory, emphasised the advisory support the firm had received from Flint Bishop during the sale process.
Green commented: “During SC & Co Holdings recent divestiture to Certania Aquico-UK, Martyn Brierley, George Ottewell and Robert Devine of Flint Bishop, expertly advised, supported and encouraged us through the entire process. All aspects were clearly explained; we were kept informed and they were highly responsive to our needs and that of our chosen buyer.”
