Elite Group Wales, a multi-service communications and technology provider based in South Wales, has been acquired by a local businessman and telecoms expert. Established more than 40 years ago, Elite Group Wales initially began as a local firm installing and repairing home analogue TV aerials.
Since then, the company has grown into a multi-service communications and technology provider, working with businesses, local authorities, property developers, universities and homeowners in South Wales and further afield.
In 2022, the Swansea-based company was acquired by Ross Adams, who has since overseen a major period of transformation. Under Adams’ ownership, the company has added new service areas including fibre connectivity, audiovisual services and Starlink satellite broadband.
Reflecting this broader offering, the company was rebranded from Elite Aerials to Elite Group Wales. Substantial investments have also been made in its CRM systems, marketing, accounting software, future-proofed technical architecture and a new website.
Local businessman Nick Foden has now acquired Elite Group Wales in a six-figure deal, bringing significant experience in the telecoms sector after spending 20 years with European Telecoms Solutions.
Foden commented: "I have spent most of my career working in telecoms and connectivity, but I had been looking for the right opportunity to run my own business. Elite Group Wales has a fantastic reputation, a skilled team and huge potential in areas I am genuinely passionate about.”
Ross Adams added: "Elite Group Wales has a great history and I am incredibly proud of the progress we have made over the last few years. Nick understands the sector, the opportunities ahead and the importance of the people behind the business.”
Elite Group Wales’ Starlink and fibre connectivity offerings were key attractions for Foden, providing the business with a significant presence in two fast-growing markets that are seeing increasing demand from businesses, large sites and rural communities requiring access to resilient, high-speed connectivity.
These services sit alongside the company’s well-established core strengths in more traditional areas such as aerials, satellite systems and DAB installations.
Continuity has been prioritised throughout the sale process, with all of Elite Group Wales’ existing customer and supplier contracts remaining unchanged, all employees remaining with the business and no disruption to the company’s day-to-day operations.
