A standalone petrol filling station in Gloucestershire is set to be acquired by an AIM-listed energy forecourt real estate business in a deal worth £2.9 million.
Roadside Real Estate PLC has entered into an agreement to acquire Ross Road Petrol Filling Station in the village of Huntley from Jets Trading Ltd.
The total £2.9 million cash consideration includes the freehold interest, fixtures, fitting and associated intangible assets. The deal is set to complete in early July 2026 and is expected to be immediately accretive to the Roadside Real Estate group’s earnings.
Ross Road Petrol Filling Station currently handles approximately 4.5 million litres of fuel sales per year. According to a press release statement, the petrol filling station generated pre-tax profit of £373,000 in the year to June 2025, with the deal described as offering an attractive return profile.
The petrol filling station, which also includes a Morrisons Daily convenience store, currently operates under the TotalEnergies brand, but will rebrand to Valero following the acquisition.
Roadside Real Estate PLC Chief executive Charles Dickson said: "This acquisition is fully aligned with Roadside's strategic ambition to capture value through the ownership and operation of strategic roadside assets and is an accretive addition to the Gardner portfolio."
London-listed Roadside Real Estate is focused on acquiring, owning and operating multi-fuel roadside locations with place-based, retail infrastructure. The firm acquires and develops sites with opportunities to deliver convenience to customers, with its portfolio featuring a mix of petrol filling stations, EV charging facilities, drive-thru, trade counter, convenience food, self-storage, last-mile logistics and leisure.
