A trio of Peak District hospitality businesses have been brought to market due to their owner seeking to step back from the hospitality industry. The venues, including a pub described as one of the national park’s busiest, are available individually or as a portfolio.
The businesses have been brought to market by leisure property specialist Fleurets and joint agent Savills on behalf of Peak Venues, which is stepping back from hospitality to focus on its operations in property agency and accommodation.
The Royal Oak Pub, which sits on a 2.2-acre site offering extensive indoor and outdoor dining space, has been called one of the Peak District’s busiest pubs. The pub also offers staff accommodation, a seasonal campsite and a bunk barn, as well as ample parking, and is being marketed with a guide price of £1.5 million (freehold).
The Yondermann Cafe is a roadside cafe located on a busy A-road that has been trading for more than 60 years. The cafe is being marketed with a guide price of £600,000 (freehold).
The Bull I’th Thorn is a destination pub offering letting rooms, a campsite and managers’ accommodation, with potential for further development. The pub is located on a prominent main road running through the heart of the Peak District and is being marketed with a guide price of £1 million (freehold).
Peak Venues, which was founded in 2006, has a portfolio of over 100 venues, including large group accommodation sites, holiday cottages, converted pubs, wedding venues, farmhouses and luxury apartments.
Justin Heslop, director of Peak Venues, commented: "After 40 years in the industry, including two decades operating food and beverage venues in the Peak District, this is the right time for us to step back from the hospitality trade and refocus on Peak Venues.”
"The Royal Oak, the Yondermann and the Bull I’th Thorn are all performing strongly and at the top of their game with a strong team in place. The businesses are perfectly positioned for the next operator to take them forward, while we concentrate on expanding our property agency and accommodation portfolio."
Tim Martin, divisional director at Fleurets North West, added: "This is a rare opportunity to acquire one or more highly successful hospitality businesses in the heart of the Peak District. Each site is available individually, offering flexibility for both independent operators and investors looking to expand their portfolio."
