A popular hotel and restaurant in Wrexham city centre has been put up for sale with an asking price of £1.35 million. The freehold for The Lemon Tree hotel and restaurant on Rhosddu Road has been brought to market by specialist business property adviser Christie & Co.
The Lemon Tree is an 18-bedroom hotel and 70-cover restaurant house in a grade II-listed building dating back to the 1860s. The building was converted into a hotel in 1982, subsequently being refurbished and renamed as The Lemon Tree in 2010.
The hotel’s current owner, Sam Regan, who has owned The Lemon Tree since 2014, has made significant strategic investments in the site over the past ten years, including an expansion to increase the total number of rooms to 18 in 2020. These renovations mean that the hotel is being sold in turnkey condition and is ready for a new owner to begin trading immediately.
Sam Regan commented: "Having achieved high occupancy levels, completing our major expansion in 2020, and developing a strong positive reputation, I believe I have taken this Grade II listed landmark to an exceptional level of success under my ownership.”

The sale is being managed by Christie & Co Business Agents James Dodd and Chad Jackson, who said that it offers “a rare opportunity to acquire a thriving hospitality business in the heart of the city.”
