Carter Towler, a property consultancy based in Leeds, has expanded its property management services offering with an acquisition. The company has acquired the Property Management division of AWS Property Consultants.
The deal will see Rob Wright, director of AWS Property Management, join Carter Towler along with four members of his team, significantly boosting the buyer’s property management capability across Yorkshire and the North of England.
Following the acquisition, Carter Towler’s property management division now includes 35 surveyors, accounting, compliance and support staff, overseeing in excess of 6,500 tenancies across the UK.
Carter Towler director Matt Faulkes said that the firm had worked alongside AWS for many years and held the team in high regard. He continued: They have built a strong reputation across the region, and there is a clear alignment in our approach to client services and portfolio management. This integration significantly enhances our capacity and capabilities."
Rob Wright said that Carter Towler was one of the UK’s leading independent property management providers outside of London and said the team was looking forward to contributing to its next phase of growth. Wright continued: "We will continue to work closely with AWS co-founder Nick Arundel to ensure continuity for long-standing agency client relationships."
Carter Towler Managing Director Ian Greenwood commented: "This acquisition reflects our ongoing investment in expanding our core services and providing the highest standards of property management. It also underlines our commitment to sustainable growth and client service excellence."
Carter Towler’s property management division provides services including strategic asset and lease management, maintenance and refurbishment, health and safety compliance, rent and service charge collection, contractor supervision and energy and insurance procurement.
Carter Towler was founded more than 75 years ago and employs more than 60 staff across three offices. Last year, the company relocated to larger offices on Wellington Street in Leeds.
