An estate agent firm based in Swansea has acquired the lettings portfolio of a counterpart based in South West Wales. Dawsons’ acquisition of Willow Estate Agents’ lettings portfolio in Llanelli builds on a number of portfolio integrations that the firm has made in recent years.
The acquisition brings in a substantial number of properties to Dawsons’ Llanelli lettings portfolio. Following the acquisition, the company’s Llanelli lettings team will now take care of the properties, landlords and tenants within the portfolio, supported by its dedicated accounts team.
Dawsons, which was formed in 1991, employs approximately 120 staff. The company has eight major sales branches, along with five dedicated residential letting offices and claims to be Swansea’s largest independent estate agent.
The acquisition was described as a “significant milestone” for Dawsons, which said it had been several months in the making. The firm said that the deal was "another major step forward" in its ongoing growth journey and that it has further growth on the horizon for 2026.
In a statement, the company said: "We are incredibly proud that Willow Estates chose Dawsons to continue their excellent work and to look after their valued clients. This confidence reflects the positive, professional, and reassuring approach our team brings to every conversation, every relationship, and every transaction.”
"This latest acquisition builds on several successful portfolio integrations we have completed over the years, that have included a number of well established and respected local brands, further demonstrating our ability to seamlessly grow while upholding the personal service our clients value most."
The deal builds on recent moves made by Dawsons, most notably the announcement in August 2024 that the company would integrate its operations with those of local property management firm CLC Estate Management in what was described as a formal "partnership".
