Hurren & Jubb Accountants, an accountancy business based in North Shields, has joined national firm Streets. The deal will boost growth at the firm, which will now trade as Streets Hurren & Jubb, and provide clients with access to a broader array of specialist services.
As a result of the merger, Hurren & Jubb's clients will gain immediate access to Streets’ specialist offering, spanning tax planning, tax relief, grants and funding advice, in addition to the group’s wider network of technical specialists.
Hurren & Jubb Accountants has established a strong reputation across North Tyneside and the wider North East for supporting businesses and individuals.
Streets Hurren & Jubb director Shaun Jubb, who originally joined the firm in 2013 and became director six years later, has helped to grow the business into a thriving accountancy serving a diverse range of clients.
The company, which was originally based in Whitley Bay, serves clients from industries including construction, hospitality, retail, professional services and consultancy.
Jubb commented: "As the practice continues to grow, joining a national firm is the natural next step. It allows us to continue providing the personal service our clients value while giving them access to a much broader range of specialist expertise.”
"Our team has embraced the transition, and our focus has been on making the process as smooth as possible for our people and our clients."
Shaun Jubb and Street Chairman and Chief Executive Paul Tutin first met in April 2026, with the shared values of the two companies becoming clear following an initial virtual meeting and subsequent face-to-face meet up at Hurren & Jubb’s North Shields office.
Jubb said that Paul Tutin’s approach throughout the process had provided the firm with the confidence that it was making the right decision.
Paul Tutin said that Hurren & Jubb have “built an excellent reputation through outstanding client service, long-standing relationships and the dedication of an experienced team.”
