Two marketing agencies based in Yorkshire have announced a merger, formalising a ten-year relationship between the two firms. Digital agency Fishtank Agency and PR agency Wild PR have joined forces, with Wild PR now to operate under the Fishtank name and brand.
Fishtank Agency founder Damien Fisher and Wild PR founder Katrina Cliffe have a longstanding working relationship, having collaborated on numerous client projects, including three major website builds, over the past decade.
Fisher called the merger “a defining milestone for Fishtank and a powerful signal of where the business is heading”. According to Fisher, the AI revolution is leading to many agencies “retranching to reduce risk.”
“We see something very different,” he said, “a generational opportunity to scale up, to invest in talent, and to bring together complementary services that are stronger together than they have ever been apart.”
Fisher continued: “Katrina and I both developed our craft at the world-famous ATTIK Design and through the Goldman Sachs 10KSBUK programme, environments that shaped our ambition, standards and belief in building businesses the right way.”
Fisher stated that the merger “immediately strengthens our offer, unlocking greater depth, capability and creativity for our clients, both today and long into the future."
Katrina Cliffe said: "Having worked successfully alongside each other for a number of years, the joining of forces has often come up in conversation. As the marketing industry evolves at its fastest pace yet, the timing feels right, especially as it will allow us to provide a greater level of expertise across our joint client base, allowing for greater outcomes.”
Following the integration, the combined business will comprise more than 20 marketing professionals. The expansion of Fishtank Agency’s Mirfield office, meanwhile, is designed to accommodate the integrated team and will increase its available area by around 33 per cent.
