Ventro Group, a provider of building safety and compliance services, has secured backing from funds advised by private equity firm KLAR Partners. The private equity firm has signed an agreement to invest in the group as a growth partner.
With private equity backing, Ventro will seek to accelerate its growth and establish itself as the leading full-service safety and compliance partner for building owners and operators. The group delivers essential building safety and compliance services to commercial clients, housing associations and public sector bodies.
Its services include installation and maintenance of both active and passive fire safety systems, along with inspection, surveying and consultancy services. Headquartered in Plymouth, Ventro Group also has offices in Manchester, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Croydon, Bristol, Dorset, Nottingham and Stevenage.
Amid intensifying building and safety regulations, demand for safety and compliance services is extremely strong, with providers such as Ventro supporting clients in both protecting occupants and meeting legal and regulatory obligations.
KLAR Partners Investment Professional Fredrik Brynildsen commented: "Ventro operates in a growing sector where quality and scale matter. We are excited to work with an exceptional management team to build the leader in building safety compliance.”
"This investment is aligned with KLAR’s strategy of backing companies providing mission-critical services with clear opportunities for operational scaling."
Ventro Group CEO Harvey Melvin added: "KLAR’s backing gives us the experience and capital to accelerate our growth and deliver more value to our clients. Together, we will continue to invest in both our people and technology, building on our position as the partner of choice in UK building safety and compliance."
Changing regulations and safety requirements are emerging as a major tailwind for M&A activity in the UK’s building products and services industry.
