A security services business headquartered in Newton-le-Willows has snapped up a staffing provider based in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
Xpress Solutions, which specialises in providing temporary and permanent recruitment solutions to those operating in the warehousing, driving and commercial industries, has been taken over by Kingdom Services Group.
Kingdom operates and leads thousands of high-quality service personnel with more than 6,000 members of staff, generating a turnover of more than £100 million. Its acquisition of Xpress Solutions, established in 2004, is to grow the company’s portfolio of services.
Advice on the deal was provided to both parties by Optima Corporate Finance, Brabners, and Ward Hadaway.
Chief executive of Kingdom Services Group, Terry Barton, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Kingdom to grow and develop our recruitment service. Strategic acquisitions have always formed part of our growth strategy, but it is extremely important that when we acquire a business that there is a culture fit to that of Kingdom.
“We are therefore keen that we continue to operate in the same way going forward with no planned changes to trading name, branding, offices, invoicing or points of contact. Kingdom will support and enhance the Xpress integration with our expertise, technology and software solutions.”
Owner and director of Xpress Solutions, Sarah Sanderson, added to this, saying: “Joining the Kingdom family will enable my team and [me] to offer our great recruitment service to a wider audience and for us to expand into new sectors.
“The Kingdom leadership team and I share the same aspirations and I’m excited about being a key part in the journey which is being created through this acquisition.”
