Hawkins & Associates has bought cost consultancy A Lamb Associates and its subsidiary Morham + Brotchie Partnership.
Established in 1996, Cumbria-based ALA provides commercial management, expert witness and dispute resolution services to the construction and energy industry. They are leading specialists in oil, gas and water cross country pipelines worldwide.
The acquisition of ALA includes Morham + Brotchie Partnership, one of the most respected Quantity Surveying practices in the UK, with origins dating back to 1876. The practice has a wealth of experience from simple house extensions to multi-million pound contracts. They are particularly recognised for their considerable experience and expertise with listed historic buildings and complex projects.
Hawkins was established in Cambridge in 1980 and specialises in forensic root cause analysis, expert witness services and engineering consultancy to the insurance, legal, risk management and commercial sectors. Areas of expertise include fires & explosions, road traffic accidents, escapes of fluid, personal injuries, civil, mechanical, chemical and electrical engineering, architecture, power & energy, materials, marine and contamination. Hawkins provides worldwide coverage from offices in Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore, as well as offices in key locations across the UK & Ireland.
In the financial year to the end of March 2024, Hawkins made pre-tax profits of £205,000 on turnover of £27.5 million.
