Four hotels in Wales have been put on the market following the administration of Llangollen Hotels Ltd and its parent company, Global Investments Group.
We reported earlier on this month that the business had been issued with a winding-up order from HMRC, which led to the immediate closure of some of the hotels in the portfolio.
According to The Leader, property agent Colliers International has been called in to manage the sale of the remaining hotels by administrators KPMG.
The hotels up for sale include The Wild Pheasant (pictured), Bryn Howel and The Chainbridge in Llangollen and Bodidris Hall in Llandegla. All are continuing to trade as normal whilst a buyer is sought.
Director of Colliers International’s Manchester office, Neil Thomson, told The Leader, “This is a great opportunity for a hotelier or investor to acquire these hotels of supreme character which are trading well and are being offered as a group or individually.
“The hotels are very successful and profitable and we are seeking buyers to hopefully come in and take over. I can confirm there has been interest expressed in the hotels so far,” he added.
Whilst there is currently no deadline in place before which offers must be submitted from potential purchasers, interested parties are being urged to register their interest as soon as possible. The hotels employ more than 100 members of staff between them.
