Facilities management firm OCS has sealed its fifth acquisition in the UK over the last 12 months with the purchase of FES FM and FES Support Services from Forth Holdings.
The move will double the size of OCS’s Hard Services division, creating a combined entity with more than 4,000 engineers and annual revenues of over £600 million.
Forth Holdings is a privately owned family business founded in 1963. Located in Stirling, its subsidiaries FES FM and FES Support Services deliver services to both private and public sector customers.
Its work includes installing solar panels at wastewater treatment works and advanced communications systems at shopping centres.
"The companies exceptional track record in Hard Services, combined with longstanding customer relationships and regional strength, makes them an ideal fit for OCS as we look to expand our own Hard Services division,” said Daniel Dickson, OCS chief executive UK & Ireland. "This acquisition not only enhances our offering but also provides us with the scale and resources needed to compete for the UK’s largest hard services and TFM contracts. Importantly, it remains very much business as usual for all FES customers, ensuring a seamless transition and uninterrupted service."
OCS Group chief executive Rob Legge said the acquisition marked a "significant milestone" in the firm's growth strategy. The company highlighted FES Support Services leadership in energy and decarbonisation projects.
He said: "It enhances our ability to deliver larger and more complex projects, positioning us to serve our customers even better, and is another step towards our vision of becoming the best facilities services provider in the world, ensuring we continue to deliver the best outcomes for our customers."
The deal follows OCS’s recent acquisitions of Exclusive Services Group, Accuro, Abate Pest Management and Profile Security Services.
Paul Lowe, chief executive of Forth Holdings, added: "FES FM and FES Support Services have flourished within Forth Holdings Limited and we are confident that under OCS’s leadership, the businesses will continue to grow and deliver exceptional services to its customers.”
