ClearCourse, a provider of software and embedded payment solutions, has expanded with the acquisition of hospitality industry property management systems (PMS) provider Avon Data Systems Limited.
Avon Data Systems is one of the UK’s largest privately owned technology partners in the PMS industry, serving a client base that ranges from major hotel brands such as Fuller’s Hotels and Inns to independent hotels across the UK.
The company was founded in 1986, launching its flagship product, Rezcontrol, in 2020. Rezcontrol, an intuitive tool that adapts to customers’ changing needs, is now used by more than 450 hotels across the UK.
Rezcontrol helps hotels to streamline operations, such as guest communications and housekeeping, as well as payments and distribution, and can be tailored to a customers’ needs, offering a number of additional integrations including point-of-sale, table reservations and revenue management.
Joining the ClearCourse group will support Avon Data Systems’ growth plans, with the company seeking to become the go-to PMS solution on the market. The deal will also generate cross-selling opportunities involving other leading products in the ClearCourse portfolio.
Christina Hamilton, CEO of ClearCourse, said that Avon Data Systems would join the company’s Retail & Hospitality Software division and that the acquisition would "further strengthen our offering in this high-growth sector.”
