Commercial office space has come up for sale at Wakefield House, a prestigious office location in Swindon.
The former occupier, Smiths News, has relocated to alternative headquarters, leaving 24,000 sq ft of space available.
Whoever chooses to move in to the air-conditioned office space will be able to count various blue-chip companies among its neighbours, including BP, Infosys and Nationwide. But the design of the building is one of its main selling points, along with its convenient location close to the M4.
Daniel Smethurst, who is working for the property agents selling the building, told Swindon Business: “[We] feel confident that a combination of the flexible floor plates, excellent car parking ratio, together with a quality built environment will appeal to occupiers. The building oozes gravitas and has always proved popular with the occupier marketplace.”
Wakefield House as a whole was bought for just under £10 million last year by Israeli-owned Delta Properties. ABP renewed its lease on 52,000 sq ft of space in the building shortly afterwards, which it uses as head office for its lubricants business.
