A former police station in the Worcestershire town of Bromsgrove has been put up for sale, with sellers saying the property would make ideal high quality offices.
The building, in The Crescent close to Worcester Road, has been left vacant after the local police force moved to a new joint police and fire station in School Drive, the Bromsgrove Advertiser has reported this week. The originally Victorian property has modern extensions and a car park at the rear.
Property consultant GJS Dillon has been given the task of marketing the 20,000-square-foot former station. The company states that it expects to attract a lot of interest for the property because of its size, proximity to the town centre and the fact that it is located near other desirable modern residential and office developments.
John Dillon, partner at GJS Dillon, said: "We expect interest from parties who will look to completely redevelop the site, as well as from those interested in refurbishing and re-using some or all of the existing buildings.
“We will work closely with West Mercia Police estates team and the planning department at Bromsgrove District Council to ensure the best solution for this high profile site.”
